Skin Conditions Through the Ages- This course is designed to improve the advanced practice clinician’s ability to recognize and select proper treatments for common skin conditions seen in the retail clinic setting, including acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis and scar management.
Describe the characteristics of common skin conditions that are seen in the retail clinic setting. Select proper over-the-counter or prescription medications as indicated for treatment of common skin conditions. Develop an appropriate plan for evaluation, treatment and follow-up of the various lesions. Identify dermatologic conditions that require referral.
